Hidradenitis Suppurativa Support Group  – YouCaring Non Profit Fundraiser

Hi everybody! Many of you have been asking about different foundations, etc… That accept donations for the research of HS. I am very much aware that there are very few or ones that are active. I have the power to change that but I need your help. In the past I have looked into starting a non profit for HS but never pursued it as it was expensive. I once again have done the research and have gotten the ball rolling on the process. The total cost of establishing it is $1,165. If we were able to get the non profit organization, it would benefit us so much! Its a GREAT way to get recognition, raise awareness and get the help that we need! I can’t do it alone but with some of yalls help I know that it can be achieved! If I can get a good amount of donations I will be willing and able to put to pay the remaining part myself… I know most of you are struggling and not able to work so money is tight. Remember that any amount helps, even $1. At the end of the day this is to benefit us, our children, grandchildren, friends, etc… If you could help out just a little bit, it would make a world of difference 🙂

What is Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)?

Hidradenitis Suppurativa is thought to be a hereditary disease of the skin. Its affects over 7% of the worlds population, and that number is just cases that are known about. Many people have HS but have been misdiagnosed or too ashamed to go get help from a doctor.

HS is a debilitating disease. It affects individuals physically, mentally and socially. HS sufferers are in pain and agony everyday. They suffer from painful abscesses that are on the breast, abdomen, groin, underarms, thighs and buttox. These abscesses can get the size of baseballs! They can cause sepsis and other infections that can be life threatening. Currently there is no cure for HS nor much research being done. Many individuals who have HS are unable to work due to the pain and constant leakage and drainage from the abscesses. It is extremely difficult for these individuals to get help from the government or other organizations due to lack of awareness. My goal is to change all of that. With your help I can make that possible. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated!!!
